They cost between $10 - $15/person depending on which company you book with. What to Bring: It is advised to bring water and small snacks for the journey. What is Included: The service includes a comfortable ride from Panajachel to Antigua, with pick-up and drop-off at convenient locations. During the day there are numerous tourist shuttles between the Airport and Antigua, and between Antigua and Panajachel. It arrives in Antigua Guatemala at 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM, dropping off at downtown hotels and hostels. You'll probably miss out on dinner too (they serve dinner "family style" but I don't know what time.)Īnother option is to go to Antigua for the night, enjoy a nice dinner then go to bed early to get over your jet lag and the next morning head to the lake. I assume that La Casa Del Mundo could arrange this for you if you needed it. The other problem is that you would need a private boat to get to La Casa del Mundo as the public boats will have stopped running. I wouldn't recommend the second option as you would be travelling after dark and unless you are familiar with that means of transportation, better left until you are more familiar with the country and over your jet lag. Any of these options would take 3 - 4 hours (or more) depending on traffic. That late in the day your options are private transportation (taxi, uber, private tourist shuttle) or piecing together taxi plus 2-4 camionetas aka "chicken buses".
